Thank you all for the comments! I’m really excited to have my very own class. On Friday we had Staff Development day and did a deep cleaning of the classroom. I didn’t change much just relabeled a few things. I’m very anal and like things completely organized & matching, haha~

This past weekend I spent BOTH days in class (15hrs total). I’ll be starting the Infant & Toddler Montessori Teacher Training on Sept. 6th but the overview is first. 30hrs of lecture = Sat & Sun for 2 weekends in a row, sigh~ It sucks to drive 30+ miles both days, too. I did learn A LOT so that’s good I suppose.

Besides that I haven’t been up to much lately. Just the same ‘ol grind. Kaylie & I went to Borders today.. I wanted to start buying the books for school ahead of time plus I had a 30% off coupon. Then we went to the Community Center and had a lovely stroll around the huge pond they have.

Watched Tropic Thunder two Saturdays ago; there was 9 of us that went. Going to the movies in a large group is always fun. It was hilarious — highly recommended if you like R-rated comedy, haha~ It was funny from beginning to end!! Robert Downey Jr. = AWESOMENESS~ Rating:

Huge Change

Yikes, so sorry for disappearing again. I even started this post on Monday! I don’t think I’ve ever met a more busier person than myself, はははは~ I do have some major news that transpired over last week..

I was offered the Head Teacher position for the Infant Room at the Montessori School!! ヽ(〃’▽’〃)ﾉ☆ﾟ’･:*☆♪

On Tuesday I went in to work thinking I was only going to be there for a few more weeks until my sister-in-law told me that she & the owner wanted to talk with me. So, my stomach twisted & turned the next 3 hours b/c I had no idea what they were going to talk to me about. Finally my sister-in-law told me a little bit about what the meeting was about.

So now let’s speed up to the present time… I said YES! It was a huge decision for me to make and it took a few days for me to fully accept it as the best choice. One night I even cried b/c I was so uncertain. I’ve been with my full-time job for 9-1/2 years & leaving there was the hardest part to decide on. I did ask EVERYONE’S opinion & they all told me to “take it”.

I think everything worked out the best it could.. I’ll be working 8-5 as a Head Teacher (Mon - Fri) and going in for a few hours on Tue & Wed night at my current full-time job but only part-time to keep my benefits (a lot cheaper).

My FIRST day is Tue, Sept 2nd~

Busy + Lazy = No Web

Umm, been half busy & half lazy this past week. I haven’t been on the net besides paying a few bills here & there. Just in a mood I suppose, haha~

I’ll hit up some highlights from the week:

Sister at Baby Shower

Baby Shower - The baby shower I was throwing for my sister was this past Saturday from 1pm - 5pm. It turned out really good. She invited over 60 people and ended up with about 40 (what I was hoping would happen).

When my sister read the card I gave her she started tearing up.. so did I. Everyone wanted to know what I wrote but it wasn’t really what I wrote but what the card itself said. I even teared up when I read it at the store, haha, such a sap. She got a lot of clothes and 4 bouncer/vibrating chairs. Overall everyone had a good time and it was fun.

2nd Job - I found out last Thursday I’ll probably be getting laid off at the end of the month. I was actually secretly happy inside when my sis-in-law told me, haha~ Although I will miss the kids, co-workers & EXTRA PAYCHECK!

I’ll be back after the Montessori training to do my internship next year. Getting off at 2pm for the day will be SO nice again. I’ll actually have free time & won’t be so tired/lazy.

Kaylie & Gabriel at Ikea

Ikea - Went on Wednesday evening. The traffic was horrible due to an accident on the opposite side of the freeway right before the Ikea exit. My dad, mom & uncle were meeting us there later so we stopped by Babies ‘R Us first (3 exits past Ikea).

Picked up a shower gift for my grandma then went to Ikea. We ate there (my first time) then headed through the warehouse. We left around 9:45pm (they closed at 9pm). I got a lamp shade, magazine files, black wicker baskets, red circular rug & red sheets/pillowcases. Going back sometime this week to get a few more things.

Fisheye 2 - Pretty much put off taking fisheye photos last week. Surprisingly I haven’t even finished the roll that’s in there.. still got like 4 more shots. I did take it to the baby shower and took a few pictures hoping they’ll come out since it was indoors. *crosses fingers* Fisheye photos HERE~
